The steel C85S is used as cold rolled strip for springs and special applications in thicknesses of up to 6 mm and as tempered cold strip in thicknesses from 0.30 to 3.00 mm. The cold-rolled steel strip for springs possess a very high precision of measurements and very good state of the surface.
cold-rolled spring steel strips are gaining popularity in various industries. They are increasingly being implemented in engineering projects, through a fairly large number of small component manufacturers, parts and machine components.By making the right choice to buy steel strips, we reduce the amount of waste produced, thereby saving time and space. With a constant focus on the needs and requirements of our customers, we have created a unique offer.
C85S 1.1269 spring steel strip is used to build springs for a great variety of purposes. Below especially the cold rolled (carbon as well as stainless) spring steel strip will be described in detail. The most common production width of spring steel strip is about 300 mm (11.811 inches). As a matter of course spring steel strip can be slit or cut to length (sheets). We supply a very wide range of high carbon and alloys, covering the most stringent industrial requirements. We have also developed a unique know-how in the design of custom solutions for special applications.
C85S, 1.1269, AISI 1086 specification and application : C85S is non-alloyed carbon structural steel with low hardening capacity for oil hardening for low-duty, periodically operating springs, springs and spring elements, immune to the temper brittleness. It is characterized by its high hardness and abrasion resistance, while maintaining high strength. It is used for flat and spiral springs, machine parts or saws of all kinds for cutting.

Hardened and Tempered Steel Strip (also known as hardened and tempered High carbon steel strip or, hardened and tempered carbon spring steel strip) is the basic raw material from which many different components are made, substantially being spring-type applications ranging from clutch plate segments to washers, retractor springs and even to tree springs in riding saddles and traditional clock springs. These strip products are a specialty of the Company and considerable plant development has taken place in recent years to facilitate a very wide range of dimensions, mechanical properties and coil weights. Hardened and Tempered Steel Strip gauges of between 0.10mm and 2.00mm can be processed and, depending on the appropriate combination to suit the process equipment, strip widths of between 4.76mm to 240mm are produced. The facilities also allow up to 2000kg coils to be produced though most are well below this, being governed by a very approximate relationship of 100kg per 25mm of width.
