Cold rolled narrow steel strip covered by EN10132-4 shall be supplied in one of the following delivery conditions:
1 annealed or annealed and skin passed(+A or +LC);
2 cold rolled(+CR);
3 quenched and tempered(+QT).
NOTE The delivery condition-annealed to achieve spheroidized carbides(+AC)-may be agreed. In such cases, limits on spheroidization and mechanical properties may also be agreed at the time of enquiry and order.
C55S 1.1204 High Carbon Spring Steel Strip Decarburization
For silicon alloyed steels, decarburization shall not exceed 3% of the material thickness per side,for non silicon alloyed steels, decarburization shall not exceed 2% of the material thickness per side when measure data distance of 5mm from the stripe edge
C55S 1.1204 High Carbon Spring Steel Strip Surface finish
The surface finish of cold rolled narrow steel strip shall be bright as produced by rolling and annealing in a controlled atmosphere.
The surface finishes of quenched and tempered cold rolled strip are as follows:
1 grey/blue oxide finish:unpolished;
2 brigth tempered:unpolished
3 polished: obtained by fine grinding, abrasive brushing or other processes;
4 polished and coloured:blue or yellow colour obtained by oxidization by heat treatment.
C55S properties and heat treatment, Including C55S application and specifications, We have all specifications,Including C55S steel plate, C55S sheet, we can own production and sales. One of the most widely used precipitation hardening grades in the business. While soft and ductile in the solution annealed condition, it is capable of high properties with a single precipitation or aging treatment. Characterized by good corrosion resistance, high harness, toughness and strength. Whether its for wear parts, springs, chain links or safety components, heat treatable steels offer the right solution for all requirements. Good fine blanking properties and formability in the annealed condition are combined with high strengths and good toughness in the quenched and tempered condition. Close analysis ranges tailored to specific purposes and precisely controlled rolling parameters guarantee consistent and outstanding processability and consistent heat treatment results.
Spring steel strip is used to build springs for a great variety of purposes. Below especially the cold rolled (carbon as well as stainless) spring steel strip will be described in detail. The most common production width of spring steel strip is about 300 mm (11.811 inches). As a matter of course spring steel strip can be slit or cut to length (sheets). We supply a very wide range of high carbon and alloys, covering the most stringent industrial requirements. We have also developed a unique know-how in the design of custom solutions for special applications.
High carbon steel is an ideal material for custom flat springs, custom clips, and custom sheet metal stampings. High Carbon Steel Strips combines ease of fabrication with good strength and surface finish, is valued for its strength properties and operates at significantly higher levels than the mild steel grades. High carbon steel strip can be finished to meet the needs of a wide range of products. Where tensile strength and hardness are required, High Carbon steels are the material of choice. High Carbon Steel Strips Grades : C60, C65, C70, C75, C85, HC-14, En 42 J, C-98, C-100, C-124, HC21 etc. We offer spring steel strip in various shapes and sizes according to your final uses. These have excellent hardens property and high yield strength. Clients can avail these at competitive prices.
